I'm not new, but..........

I'm not new here, but I geuss I have to introduce my 9yr. old son Jacob. He is the proud new owner of a Baja Dirt Runner 50. It's his first motorcycle. I was planning to wait until closer to Christmas and get a deal on another china bike (new). We were in town and he spotted it outside a local pawn shop, I asked about it and the salesman said "it's 20% off today only". I kicked it off, started first kick, the exhaust was loose, needs a new brake lever, and new foot pegs(any parts help would be appreciated). I walked away with it for $180 bucks, I'll post pics. soon.

Welcome.

Go down to the pitbike area.

I think that any honda 50cc footpegs will work and brake levers etc.

to jacob, congratulations!!!

ddg1976 you have created a monstor, there will be no rest for you

I remember when I got my first bike it was a 1972 yamaha 90cc enduro. wrecked that bike more times than I can count... I am in calculus now

make him do the work on the bike. trust me good wrenchers are getting slim and the expirence he gains from a 50cc bike will save him a lot of money in the future.

Oh yeah, he's going to be wrenching on it. He's already spied my brake lever on my GY-5 saying, "We could grind it down to fit Daddy". He also wants my passenger footpegs, which I think I'll give up because they are a perfect match for his and I'll never use them.

If he's talking like that already, you should encourage him to get an avatar and join the club...he can probably give us some pointers :!:

Just watch out if he starts working on the Budweisers! LOL

A chip off the ol' block,
