Lifan x-pect 200- is an oil cooler necessary?

Basically the question is in the title, is an oil cooler something I should invest in? I found lots of options, but I'm having difficulty finding an adapter to mount on the side of the engine for one. Any links to where I could purchase the adapter and a reliable cooler would be cool. Or just advise how I really don't need one. Thanks so much for y'alls time.

Not really. I see you live up in Oregon. You don't have the extreme heat conditions like we have down here in the south.

I agree that an oil cooler isn't necessary on the CG200 engine. I'm in Bend where it rarely gets hot but spent a lot of time riding my Lifan CG200 in the heat of Death Valley, Moab, and southern Arizona with no issues. I do have an oil cooler on my quad that has a CG200 engine because it spends a lot of time moving slowly in hot weather, but even then I doubt it's necessary.

it’s not necessary. Maybe it’s nice for the engine when it is really hot, but it doesn’t break down just because you don’t have one.

I have spent plenty of time in the traffic in Florida at 98F as well as in dry 100+ heat in Colorado.

My xpect didn't care about it.

Now, a motorcycle rider cooler?? That's something I'd be interested in!
