I'm definitely looking for suggestions.

I'm 6'4" 250lbs.

I've been researching and it seems many people suggest upgading to bigger diameter bars and use risers but I have some questions...

Im assuming the larger diameter bars (1-1/4") have the bigger diameter at the handgrips? If so I would assume I need to upgrade all my handlebar equipment... throttle, handgrip, brake and clutch handles, etc.? Is that correct and worth it on a China bike?

I also see that aftermarket bars have different angle and rise options. I've seen taller adventure ones on Amazon that look interesting. Any suggestions for a tall/bigger guy?

And I think I would like the type of risers that also move the bars forward. The below video gives a lot of insight and exposes some of the unintended consequences and counter intuitive issues that arise from handlebar risers.

I am also looking for foot peg options for tall riders. I have size 14 feet. With boots on the stock pegs feel like I'm about to slip off the outside when standing. I can find lots of options for wider pegs but not longer. I've also seen in videos pegs that extend lower and further back but can't find any on Amazon.

Also do I need pegs that fit certain bikes? Some of them on Amazon say 'universal' while some reference certain bikes for fitment.

1-1/4" (you thinking 1-1/8"??) bars typically have a taper to 7/8" at the handgrips. Hence the name "Protaper" . Some do 7/8" Left Grip & 1" Right Grip for throttle twist.

Just look at specs to choose what you need.

1-1/8" is a common clamp width for CRF, KLX, YZF (CSC TT250 as well??). Maybe stick with the 1-1/8" if the bars you need will work. So get risers to match.

Maybe stock CSC TT250 is 7/8" all the way across, of course (you may have measured). But the clamp might already be 1-1/8".

*****CSC does sell a 2" riser for over $100! It has 1-1/8" bar clamp stubs. Amazon sells one for $30, I think.

You do get a bit of strength with the thicker center portion, especially if you get a bar with a welded in cross member.

I am basically the same size as you.

I run this style of riser on my Hawk https://www.amazon.com/Pivot-Handleb...1zcF9tdGY&th=1

With "Renthal" FatBars from Aliexpress (actually quite good bars surprisingly). https://www.aliexpress.us/item/22518...d=qU8cxActCePR

The bars sit about an inch higher than the stock bars with that setup. What I like about those riser adapters is that they also allow you to position the bars forward or backward some as well. I have mine pushed forward about 2 inches at the grips which gave me more room for my arms to be extended for comfort and control.

I had the same bars on my first hawk with a bolt on 1 inch pro taper adapter/riser set that put the height about the same as factory.

Those risers can also be used with the stock bars since they come with inserts to use 7/8" bars as well, which would give you more height.

As for the pegs, CSC Sells upgraded pegs for the TT250 on their website. Not sure if it is what you are after, but they are bigger than the stock units. https://cscmotorcycles.com/foot-pegs...luminum-tt250/

*Verify that you have 7/8" clamps. If so, then the riser ($40, Amazon) Dan suggested/linked will work. And yes, 1-1/8", not 1-1/4" tapered bars to replace your OEM. Just verify the bar end (handgrip) dimensions.

Thanks for all the info! And yes I confirmed the stock hawk has 7/8" clamps/handlebars.

I found what appear to be te same risers on AliExpress and ordered them...
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32568...yAdapt=glo2usa

I will let you know what I think when I get them installed.

I'm going to keep the stock handlebars for now or at least until I can find some cheap knockoffs on AliExspress like these babies...
https://www.amazon.com/ProTaper-PMT-...0-4513d670b6bc

I think these would be perfect but I'm too cheap to spring for them. I scoured AliEx but couldn't find a cheap knockoff like them. If you find them somewhere let me know.

Ok now back to footpegs... I feel like somebody should know what Japanese/European bikes have compatable foot pegs for the Hawk. I am assuming the Hawk, TBR7, TT250, Brozz etc. all have the same... so someones got to know. The best I could find was this video from Jay's so low it Hertz...

He has a link in the comments for the one he used...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...e013b5707dd901

The Amazon listing gives a whole list of bikes they are compatible with but Jay had to grind off the tabs to make them work for the TBR7. I'm thinking there have got to be some that are a direct fit. If I can't figure it out I'm gonna try these...
