Extending Battery Life

Here in the Northwest the weather is just too nasty half the year for us fair weather types to get regular use out of our toys. Consequently the batteries just don't last. It is really hard on them to just sit and so I finally made the plunge and bought battery tenders for my bikes. The local battery place wants $45 but I found nice ones for $15 Here:

Coupled that with a quick disconnect from Napa P/N 755-1598 for $2 and I am set.

Should get twice the battery life and always have a full charge!

i tried one of those quick disconnects on my jeep, it wouldnt give it enough current flow thru the small contact and it wouldnt start.. stupid thing.. haha.. i always disconnect the battery when i weld, so i wanted to faster way to do so... but i could imagine it would work great on these tiny bikes.. walmart has the battery disconnects also...

Great idea. I've been pulling mine in the shop every couple weeks and giving it a quick charge.

Current flow on this would be no problem as you connect it in parallel. The current flow is miniscule, just enough to keep the battery topped off.
