More bike stuff today... a no name 11 spd chain from amazon, a 203mm and a 160 mm floating rotor (found the 160 for $5 at a "bin store" aka amazon returns flustercuck, and had to get the matching 203 for the front of the mtb), a longer stem for the road bike (also from the bin store for $5), and dug out a pair of factory fog lights for the ole scubaru from the local pick n pull for $18

Big brake kit for the Lexus (because I found more problems when I worked on it last time) new wheels to fit over the new bigger brakes. New tires to fit over the new wheels, and a near entirely new suspension, brakes, and tires for the pt cruiser, since it's officially mine, now.

Any help out there? Feel free to email me at bradengel37@gmail.com

Dinner for the whole fam damily at the new Mexican place in town. It was great.

This is a Jalapeno Margarita. It was very good and very spicy.

I'm afraid to pee.

Chicken enchiladas w/chipotle cream sauce, rice, and Mexican cream corn. No, no asparagus.

That WOULD be awful, though.

That would have been funny. Bodily functions - always funny.

I bought some kick-ass BBQ today. Brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, and some spicy - and I do mean, spicy - mac and cheese. Always nice to stumble onto a place that looks like it was clearly something like a Der Wiener Schnitzel or an A&W but is now what would otherwise be considered a hole in the wall BBQ joint. They rarely disappoint.

Finally ordered a new short shop stool. I've been wheeling around on my ancient HFT unit with all the bearings falling out of the casters, for years. Tired of almost turfing it all the time when I change directions.

New Illannoy drivers license. The $1 service fee to do it online is worth it not to stand in line at the DMV.

It's getting closer to the time I get serious about dialing in the suspension settings so time to get another massively pricey part domestically for what you get but cheaper than a bag of chips from China.

I wonder if they are copying Amazon who now that I gave their subscription the heave ho try to tell me it will take incredibly long to get my purchases and please subscribe again to get it early. Then when I tell them no, they end up delivering it a day after they said the subscription would get it to me. Usually China shipments are a month +/- a week or so.

Work boots

I finally got some steel toes. Endurance is cushy but heavy and expensive. Pit Boss a hard and heavy. This one "flume" is lighter and flexible. I will be able to climb a ladder in these

Oh, and I bought brisket and a rack of spare ribs. Smokin' time!

My first used bargain find of 2023

Was looking on Gumtree.
craiglist/fbmarketplace etc...

For a backup generator in case of a power outage emergency.

Came across this beauty for $350 Aussie dollarydoos.

rated 6kilowatts. 3 plug outputs with a 420cc chonda engine.

Also has a legit LPG/Propane carby adapter fitted.

Tank is clean, the guy had the crank battery on trickle charge when I turned up... Electric start and pull start...oil clean probably from used on LPG.

Anyway we were looking around his man cave garage for a spare carby he thought was about but then offered me a Yammie 1 plug Generator taking up space on his work bench...I was like "sure, I'll free up some of your workspace" He was take it for free...."ok" I replied.

Anyway long story short I wanted a backup gen and he wanted more space in his shed and was not experiencing enough "emergencies" to justify keeping it...

Win/Win I suppose.

If i get the Yammie fighting fit i might recoup $150 back...

A good start to Wheelin'n'Dealing 2023.

post edit update: Yammie has sweet FA compression. Has spark and fuel pump works... Not worth sinking time or money into it...offload it as a "for parts only" I'll see if it will shift for $50.
