Hello from Maryland - Registration Successful

Greetings all! Casey here.


I passed my MSF course on 8/7/22. With the ever-increasing cost of living, I felt a small CC commuter bike would save me some money in the long run vs the gas guzzlers we currently own. After getting my new license, I went directly to the local powersports dealer to look at small dual sports and cheapest one I could find was still way out of my price range. Persistent searching lead me to placing an Amazon order for a Hawk 250. I convinced my wife it was the smart play.



I received my motorcycle in a box on 8/25/22 and had it assembled on 8/26/22 following the majority of Megadan's Hawk 250 essential to-do list. Thank you sir. By Friday night, I was running some slow laps around the back yard catching some ooo's and ahhh's from the neighbors.



The MCO and BoS came in the mail on 8/29/22. This was the part I was worried about. My VIN wasn't showing up on any searches and I was worried the MVA was going to crush my dreams. After receiving my MCO and verifying the VIN on the bike matched, I logged into progressive and had a 75$ / year insurance policy within minutes. I then opened up google maps and found the closest Tag and Title shop. I had to avoid the MVA at all cost. Jumped in the old mom van and hauled it 25 minutes to a place called 5 9 Tags & Title in Salisbury, MD. Took Proof of Insurance, Driver's License, MCO, and Bill of Sale with me. I was in and out the door WITH tags in 10 minutes. Within an hour of receiving the MCO and BoS in the mail, I had tags. Had the biggest smile on my face walking out the door.



There's a new 43 year old cruisin' the back roads in a brand new Hawk 250 livin' the dream.
