Learning to ride!

I took both my son's out. One of them is riding his TBR7, the other is riding my Storm. They need lots more practice. Then I'll get another bike and we can all ride the trails! Name: StartFromStopped125.jpg

We still haven't put the mirrors on the TBR7, and I took the one I haven't bent yet off of the Storm.

We need more seat time

That's awesome! I want to do the same with my two nephews when they get a few more years older (11 and 13 now). For now, they will remain on the Coleman CT200-EX!

Nice! My son is 14 and i passed the Brozz to him - plated and all. This allows us to ride all the gravel roads in the area without worrying about the fuzz, plus these bikes are so limited in power/speed making them even safer for a beginner... good times..

Excellent choice. I should have had these kids on one of those for a couple of years now. It would make this clutch transition easier. It is fascinating to see the differences in how adept each kid is. One is an avid bicyclist, and athlete, the other is a lazy gamer we have to ask to get up in the morning. Who do you think can get moving without stalling most of the time (first time in fact)?

Yeah, Where's there riding gear? They need to get in the habit of riding with proper gear before riding whether on the street or even in you own back yard especially if they are just learning. That when most accident happen. That power pole will be the first thing they smack into.

I couldn’t agree more, My mom agreed to let me have a mini bike at 12 years old with the rule that I always had to wear riding gear. 50 years later and I’m still wearing it and feel naked without it. The gear has saved some skin more than once

Simply hilarious. Yes, looks funny. But he has allergies. For the record, They are safely driving 0 to 10mph, repetitively. That is the exercise. Learn the clutch!
And don't underestimate them. They are careful. When they are riding balls out off road (or on the road, MORE dangerous), the helmet will be present, and armor for off road. But think about it... the armor is more relevant on the road these days

I have an armored lime flourescent green mesh jacket for riding on the road. The flourescent helps. The armor? PppPPPtthhtt!

No they won't. You don't know these kids. They are doing great. Start from a stop, accelerate, pull the clutch and use the brakes to stop. The one on the TBR7 is shifting to second, then stopping to start all over. Flat ground, focus. They know to pull the clutch and stop. They know. No nonsense here. These kids don't even try to make a rooster tail. Really.

There is a kid in our neighbourhood ,was riding his peddle bike and fell in the ball field beside my house .I saw him lying there and attended to him before the ambulance arrived .He was about 6 at that time .He now has a caretaker ,will never work , and will remain a 6 year old forever ,even though he is now almost 30 .He hit his head on a grass lawn from a small peddle bike probably going slower than your boys in first gear .
