Anything 87 to 89 would be fine. Prefer "real" or "100%" gas.... Your only dealing with a handful of HP there, wasting money on high octane stuff.

Download an app called Pure Gas. It finds all the ethanol free gas stations in your area.

While we are discussing gas, I seem to recall getting better MPG with my car on pure gas than with the ethanol added gas. As I am now using pure 87 from a marina is the ethanol gas actually 87 octane or 87 octane plus 10% ethanol which would in fact lower the octane value and lower the MPG.

From a marina, if you are getting ethanol free, it should be the real deal. However, I have noticed that a lot of marinas in the Northeast have stopped carrying ethanol free fuel.

Ethanol has less energy than straight gasoline. Like a lot of head scratching decisions, committees made this one based on under the table dealings and emotion.

For me, anything that has rubber hoses and isn't a car that is driven every day gets the ethanol free. I've been burnt too many times and used too many cans of carb cleaner.

I'm in south Florida, near the coast, and I get about 3 months before normal gas absorbs enough water to start causing problems.

It's nice with the Pure Gas app, also WaWa's have proliferated down here and they usually have ethanol free.

finally,...a fuel thread with all the right suggestions: 87/89 octane plenty good enough,..and ethanol-free a plus,...especially during storage,..and its better for rubber hose and o-rings. these bikes stock=don't waste your money on premium
