Head Scratching Front wheel Issues

Hey guys… hope everyone is well. Ok so my X22R has recently been pulling side to side and has a bounce in the front wheel at low speeds. I thought maybe it was tire pressure. Check that and all was good, also checked the back wheel for alignment and was also good. I have no idea what this can be and it seems to be get worse. When hitting front brakes there’s a slight pull in either direct (depends on where my weight is I guess). Anyhow I’m in fear of going down the road and losing the front wheel all together. I’d appreciate any input to fix this problem or any info on where I can just by a brand new wheel. Thanks guys.

Possibly wheel bearings, I would also check to make sure your axle nut is tight.

Sounds like the tire is out of round.

You can pop the front up, spin the wheel and take a look while it's spinning. I was able to put some pens (writing) evenly on either side, spun the wheel and it would mark where the high spots were on the rim. Got it done in under an hour, almost perfect! Front may be tricky to do that method, I did that on the rear.. unless you have a truing stand; which I don't. Any shop should be able to true the rim I would think - unless you're in my area. I called about that and promptly was told no when I said "it's like the Hawk250 bike"... But I kind of think it may just be out of true from the sounds of it.

Problem is, he has alloy wheels. Not wire spoked.

Does anyone know where to purchase either new bearings or a whole new wheel in itself. Save myself the hassle.

I know it sounds dumb but can you verify the forks are tight on the top?

Don't over think it. First check that there is no excess play in the stirring neck. If all is good and snug, the next thing i would do is deflate the tire. Rotate the tire on the rim 90 to 180 degrees. It's possible that the tire is not beaded evenly on the rim. unless you have excessive play in the axle and rim i would think the bearings are good.

Did you clean the brake rotors and pads before riding the bike? There is a shipping film on the rotors that really needs to be cleaned off. This would cause any pulsating or pulling when the brakes are applied.

The film I don’t know about. I bought the bike brand new from a previous owner. It had 5 miles on it when I got it. It was riding beautifully until about 3 weeks ago. Rear tire pressure was major low so I thought that would be the issue.

*I have a cobble stone drive way. When I ride over bike goes all over the place. Can’t even corner on cobble stones because bike feels like it’s coming out from under me.*

Don’t know if that helps explain what I’m experiencing. Everything seems to be tight but I won’t be able to take a look at it until this weekend. I use bike to get to work so hopefully whatever it is can hold on until Friday.

I don’t have any play in forks if that’s what you mean. Was also thinking maybe install a brace??
