Help with noise on brand new quad

Purchased a brand new 125cc taotao quad a few days ago, son rode it one time for about 25 min. Heard this noise after first ride and can't figure out what it is. Thoughts? Thanks!!

My guess is one of the axle bearings. You could pin it down by using a piece of hose as a stethoscope.

Thanks, I'll try that. I know these aren't Yamaha quality machines, but I expected the bearings to last more than 1 ride. We haven't even taken the plastic off the seat yet...

Is the hub carrier hollow on these things, could something be inside the hub carrier loose and floating around?

It does sound like the bearings are loose?

It's hard to tell for sure, but it looks like that chain is too tight.
