The seat was giving me a wedgie LOL. Felt like it was pushing me forward all the time.

Common complaint with the Hawk seat. I went to more extreme measures and lowered the ass of my bike lol. Well, I didn't do it for this reason, but it was a welcome side effect.

Hi all. Tbr7, just got in from the garage...and the shower. I took my seat cover off tonight and brought home some "borrowed" tools from work. Bondo cheese grater. Sand papers,and I found a electric turkey slicer in the kitchen. Did some depth measurements on the foam with the base off. Made my marks and took my time removing material.I'm aiming for the stock shape, with a little more in the middle out. Don't want it to look like I'm sitting in a hole, want the whole seat to look symmetrical. Placed it on the bike and sat o n it, definitely better, almost flat foot now, seat height now 32' where I sit with no one on it. I'm 5"7. Plenty of you tube videos on doing this, not hard,and it's free. Take your time! So far I'm pleased, I think it's going to look good with the cover on. Be prepared to get covered in seat foam crumbs.

I plan to do the same as pictured, but I want that hump even further back and a longer flat drivers platform.

did you do all of the removal with the grinder and flap disc? I bet that takes a light touch if so.

I like it. Took a belt sander to my TBR seat but instead of lowering my rear shock I raised the front with a bigger front wheel. I sanded the hump off the seat and anyone who rides it compliments how comfortable it is.

I did some work to mine as well. Added some padding.
Shipped it with a flap disc and sanding block.
Great idea on belt sander. Flap disc cuts quick!
