Step up from 125's

I'm stepping our twin boys up from their Coolster Mountopz 125's they have outgrown. I was primarily looking at the Tao rhino but it's manual clutch so will have the learning curve to deal with on that. I really like the Tao raptor for all it's ugrades, but it's only 169cc vs 200cc for the rhino. Anyone stepped up from the 125's to the 200 (169cc) motor that can tell me how significant the power increase is or isn't? The 125's struggled in the bottom end power department

I have all three 125cc, 150cc and 200cc. My boy had a growth spurt this past months and his 125 is small for him now. The 125 (110cc) as upgrades (front & rear sprocket, upgraded carburetor with Uni filter). I would say there about the same. The 125 might be quicker off the line because if its size and wights less.

I'd just get the manual clutch 230cc Rhino, it'll be a good, useful learning experience, and it'll make it that much easier to teach them to drive stick when the time comes. They're not that complicated/difficult, and other than the balance dynamics and potentially the shift pattern, it's a lot like a motorcycle, so they'd be ready for that, too.

I guess what I'm looking for is probably more torque. The 125's don't have enough power to pull out if a rut or up a small bank. If there is no momentum, they won't power out of much. Need something that can get the tires spinning from a stop if the front tires are against a small rut, log etc

re-gearing them makes all the difference. Here a video of my son ridding the 125.

I think your son needs a bigger ATV.

I have a one tooth smaller countershaft sprocket I'm going to install in my daughter's 125. Already sold the other 2-125's.
How did you regear them?

Swap out the front sprocket to an 11th and IIRC went work a 50ish tooth in the rear. I got all the parts from whygostock.com, IIRC I went 520 all around.
