Oil Type I used for years

Hey everyone I know this is always a controversial topic but for anyone out there who is truly confused and wants a clear answer from someone that has used a certain oil for a while with ZERO issues. I use and have been using Valvoline sae10w40 . All of my bikes said that I can use SL or SJ. I have always ran the SL and ive had zero problems! Everyone has their own favorite type but as I said for anyone new or newer who is wondering.. that is the oil I go with for the wet clutch protection and my engines run smooth. Hope everyone is having a great day

hi Buffalo....certainly lots of oil opinions out there...that being said, what you have been using looks 100% perfectly fine....no reason at all to change.

myself, I have used both Honda 10W-40 GN4,........and more recently, Shell Rotella T4 15W-40 (..and these are of course for my 4 strokes)
as far as 2 stroke injection oil, I have always used Yamalube

Thats why I am sticking to it, Ive always wanted to kinds check out other oils BUT my machines have been running great, silent and smooth shifting so I figure why even try to switch it up. I heard what you use the T4 is really good too.

i personally run JohnDeere 15w40 torq gard +50. LOL i get it free from work as leftovers from compact tractor services. its API SN and CK-4 certified, and no friction modifiers for eating clutches.

I run clean oil of the right specs and certifications. Never had an issue in tens of thousands of miles.

Do you all ever bump up the viscosity during the summer

Example = Use 10w 40 majority of the time, bump to 20w 50 during summer oil change ?

Yes, I use 10w 40 during the winter and 20w 50 during the summer as the summers here get in the mid to upper 90's. I use Quick Silver full synthetic when available from Walmart And Valvoline when it's not. I'm running non-synthetic Valvoline in the new bike until it is broke in then will switch to full synthetic.

Valvo 10w40 for me year round! Well I only get about 3 months riding time 3.5 if I'm lucky. In buffalo during the summer it almost never gets out of low-mid 80s. A few really hot days but most of the time out hot days are 80-85. Thanks for everyone putting their preference and why they use it! It makes things clear cut and easy for people who are 100% new and don't know what they should use.

If you are a true Buffalo native, you should be riding around in short sleeves all year round. BILLS BABY

Using same oil Buffalochinarider. I noticed the motorcycle oil is SL,not SJ, but the valvoline atv/utv oil is SJ and SL. Manuel says use SJ. Any thoughts on that?
