Oil cooler install

Going to install an oil cooler and was thinking about putting a banjo bolt check valve in it. Anyone think it's neccesary? I may do 2 coolers also.

I do not have one and never had a prob. When I do an oil change the cooler is full even after sitting a week. I doubt a check valve would reduce flow but I am OK with out.

The oil pump does a pretty darn good job of acting like a stopper and keeping the oil from draining back.

Megadan, since I just ordered the same cooler as you can I ask what orientation you have your cooler in? With the hoses connecting at the top, side or bottom?

At the top. Sump side runs to right fitting, pump side with filter screen on the left. Ideally you want the screen before the cooler, but it didn't work well for what I desired.
