Lacing bigger rim on rear Magician 250 hub

I was looking around for replacement tires, for when the time comes. The magician 250 comes with a 19"front/16"rear and am having a hard time finding good dual sport tires(especially the rear 16"). Anyone have experience lacing a bigger rim on hub? 17"-18"? I am a noob when it comes to everything motorcycles, so any input helps.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you have the clearance for the larger wheel.

EDIT: After looking at some pictures of the rear wheel on the Magician it looks like it will be very close to rubbing. Measure the distance you have now from the tire to the swingarm. If you have less than 1 1/2" It will be close.

Ive had problems also on rear tire, finding, mines ok as of now but was searching for future, set of tires didn't find almost have to have different brands seems as of now. Changing rear tire to bigger makes me wonder if might have to change shock or swing arm bike was designed for 16 inch( travel up an down). I remember a posting here where some tire companys have 16 inch that matches front 19 but cant remember what posting it was> magician 250 about 2400m as on now

I went a different route and fit a complete rear wheel from a Honda XL125

The OD of the Honda 18" wheel and the Magician 16" are nearly identical
