My RX3 has already paid for itself. It was totaled at ~770 miles from the wind blast of a speeding truck tossing the bike and me about 6 feet up and 15 feet off the side of the road, landing in swan dive mode at 65 mph. Never had a bike of any other make that withstood such abuse and still could be cranked and ridden up into the truck for the ride home. Still runs and rides fine, best all around of any motorcycle I've ever owned short of more $$$$ invested in suspension than the RX3 cost. CSC brake upgrade is a good move, but a second disc would be still better. 19-inch front wheel is a good upgrade, and be sure to keep the steering stem tight to avoid tank slappers. Haven't ridden in a couple months due to work assignments and weather, but looking forward to another 12,000 miles this summer.

Fortunately, Mrs. 2LZ is perfectly happy with her stock RX3 but if this makes a noticeable difference, I better not let her ride it. ;-)
Have you tested the kit against your wifes. You said they were neck and neck when you both were stock, Love to hear were they are now.

Not yet. Especially since Winter, the bikes mostly sit. I'm hoping to get that done come Spring.
If it's actually "faster", I'm not sure, but the mid-range it developed (between 3500 and 5500) made it totally worth it to me. I don't have to ride it like a two-stroke anymore.

That's a good way to put it.

Maybe folks are just buying the RX4 instead. Is there a 500 kit for the RX4?

I had a test ride once, too tall 1st gear and bike feels heavy.
I kinda didn't think I would spend that kinda money on it.
Brakes are better but still too tall 1st, heavy bike when you lean it more power but you need it too.

Was a short run on a test area in ChongQing a year or so ago.

I’m sure CSC will have at least one to test ride at the CSC Owners Moab rally in May. If I end up going and they have them, I’ll hop on one. Anyone else thinking about attending?

I am thinking about going . Depends on work , life, blah, blah stuff. Was there in 2014 but only saw Arches National Park and city of Moab a little. Really want to go see whats around there. RX3s, TT250, RX4 will be perfect for it. It's a bit of a trip from Walla Walla, WA. to get there. rj

I sold a bigger big bore kit for the NC250 today - 298cc 84mm piston.

Never seen it or had anyone try it out before or reviews but the guy was keen on the biggest at his own risk

Wow, more details on that kit? Is it the same brand as the 82mm one?

Same complaint everyone had about the RX3. Had to slip the clutch a lot in 1st to get it rolling. I bet dropping a tooth on the countershaft sprocket would wake that 450 right up, like it does the RX3.
