upgraded rims and hubs for tt250/hawk ?

are there any known rims wheels you can use to replace the stock ones on these bikes. i'm hopeing theres a chance to put excel wheels of some variant on my bike so i can have a on road long distance light off road set, and a more 80/20 off road set so, i want a stronger rim for the off road as ive already noticed some people haveing issues with weak rims.

Well sure. Any 36 hole rim of the same width will interchange. Taobao in China offers new aluminum rims, and eBay offers used ones. The standard rims that come on the bike are OK, as long as you keep the spokes snug. Many people don't realize that spokes and rims also have to "break in" from new, so it is important to keep after spoke tension for the first 500/1000 miles, or 800/1600 km's. The Hawk's odometer reads in km. I don't know about the TT 250....ARH

Excel wheels are worth more than the bikes new prise...
get a good set of used jap wheels and spoke the rims

Like Pete said, used Japanese rims are a decent option. I used old DID rims from an early '80's Honda XR200 on my Lifan.
SpudRider used Warp9 rims on his bike; they're a decent value. Whichever rim you choose, it helps to have a truing stand.
