My new Blackhawk 250!
Last Sunday in the Blue Ridge mountains I ran into a rider with a Hawk (first I ever heard of one). On Monday I ordered from TX Motorsport ($1,300 delivered to your door? INSANE!) By this Sunday I was ripping around the farm! Getting plates this week. Thanks to the forum, I had all the mods in hand by Friday, 17/45 sprokets, new chain, hand guards, Mikuni carb, 120 jet, 230 ebay exhaust, new plug... started on the first kick, running like a champ! I put on a Baja (Soltec) light that I had on the shelf and added a SuperTard front fender.

Welcome aboard. The headlight makes it look like a completely different bike. Look great

Welcome! The front fender completely changes the attitude of the front end. Looks sharp.

does anyone know if the yellow lens is 49 state compliant or not??? i almost got a triangular one off of ebay but went with the clear lens cause i didnt know if it was kosher or not.

The Baja headlight isn't DOT approved. This is just a lens cover to protect the light. I had it on a DR650 for 2 years, never got stopped once. (figured I'd just pop off the cover if I got hassled...) The yellow headlight is a good trick to be more visable during the day... |
