What did you do with your shipping crate?
I know we have some innovative people on here. I am just curious about what everyone does with the metal (or wood) crates that the bikes come in.
I still have mine (since Jan 2018). My mind just churns thinking of what I can make with it. Thinking of making a wheel chock that mounts in my truck. I have taken my bike on several trips to go riding. I would just feel better having the front wheel more secure. What did you do with your shipping crate?

I used that steel, plus several other crates from the local Yamaha and Honda dealers. So far, I've built spindles inside my house out of square tube (capped with an oak railing), a large swinging gate at the side of the house (faced with cedar), one utility trailer, one teardrop trailer frame and one flatdeck trailer frame. I've used motorcycle and ATV crate steel for several other projects that I can't recall ATM. Steel doesn't get thrown out at my house.

I added it to my massive collection of useful bits of scrap metal for future projects. I was raised in a poor family that doesn't throw things away. Well, at least until you run out of room to store things, then I sell some of it or make something out of it.
I did save the round tube braces from my crate specifically for making some sort of side bag bracing on my Hawk. I just haven't gotten around to actually making it yet lol.

The wood and cardboard made good bonfire starter.
The metal is sitting under my back deck creating one less place for the deer to camp out.
