Oh damn, I hope not push rods were not bent for sure. I don’t know about the valves but bike started up nicely last night. I’m about to go to work now so hopefully it’s ok. I’ll let y’all know how it goes.

If it started up you should be okay. If you bent a valve it wouldn't of started.

So glad to hear that it started! That must have been a good feeling.

Hell yeah feels great. No leaks runs like a champ. My start button still doesn’t work but it’ll start on first kick. Seems like it runs better now than ever, again. Thanks everyone for your help. I really couldn’t have done it without y’all.

This morning I was getting ready to go to work and bike was leaking gas again. It happened a couple months back around the nipple going to petcock. I searched around here and found it was a common issue and I repaired it with JB weld gas tank repair putty. So I still had some left over. so I rode it to work so I can repair it there and let it cure. It had a bad gash in it. I did fix it no problem also welded my passenger foot pegs since one side had broken off. Original weld is just a small tack. Anyways problem was the top motor mounts only go on one way if you put them on backwards like I did one bolt hits the gas tank and like mine. Will eventually puncture the tank. So just a heads up if anyone removes the top motor mount bolts to install the bolts exactly how they were removed. The gas tank is not symmetrical, one side gives extra room for these bolts.

Hopefully you have worn out your bad luck soon, but good tip on those mount bolts. It;s little details like those that can be hard to come by.

I'll have to check mine. I don't remember if I installed them the same way or the opposite way when I did the head work. Thanks for posting.
