Assistance needed - Lifan 250-b

So i got this bike for under 200 bucks. The dude had it sitting in his yard and i asked him about it. i guess he couldnt pass his rider exam after 3 tries so he never rode it and let it sit. its a 2009 american lifan 250-b with 7 kilometers on it. I have never ridden a day in my life, i work on cars but know nothing about bikes. considering this thing has been sitting for years i know it is going to be a bit of work to get it going but i couldn't pass up the opportunity on a starter bike for such a good deal. From what i have read this is a yamaha xv250 clone basically. But I cant find more information about it. The guy lost the keys to the bike so i need to get parts for this thing like new ignition, spark plugs for example. Does anybody know a place to get parts for these bikes? or know if these bikes are identical enough to the yamaha virago that basically all parts are interchangable? i want to get this thing going, just not sure where to begin since information on lifans is far and few between.
