Letsride, I got a Faux-Pro from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015ETV3HK/ref=od_aui_detailpages01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I haven't done much other than link it to my phone, but it seems to be a really nice platform, and it comes with a METRIC TON of mounts! There are a few other camera options out there in the same vein, so you should be able to poke around Amazon and check out the options. The more I look at your Brozz, the more I think it looks just like my Hawk. What gives? Are they basically the same platform with different options/accessories? The engine cases look a little different, but the bikes as a whole look very similar. Great pictures of the assembly and mod process. Let us know how it does when you finally take it out into the world.

Yeah, I think they are all very similar. The Brozz has the counterbalanced engine. Some like it some don't it seems. I don't know what it does past 2k so we shall see. The Brozz has the rear drum, Hawk has disk. I wanted the brozz simply for the options it already had, that I would replace on the Hawk anyway, I.E. the digital cluster. And I love the swing arm on the Brozz. That and I liked the look of the red one. And I think my bike has a Single Piston front brake caliper (round brake pads), doesn't the Hawk have a dual piston brake caliper in the front? I may swap mine to the Hawk caliper if this is the case. I got the bike for what I would have paid for a Hawk. So it was a win win.

The Hawk has a dual piston brake caliper in the front. I was wondering if the Digital cluster would work on the Hawk. I think its only about $50 for the one you have. Is the sending unit mechanical or electrical?

Well dag nabbit!!! I should have bought our leftover China Bike from ScooterMan TxPowersports blows giant donkey balls when comparing our bikes and shopping experience

Great looking bike! It spent years in a crate and still looks brand new (no customers to kick it... no sun rays to fade it... no shop owner/worker to ride around on it), nice and shiny!!! As it should be

These bikes are just amazing for the money invested in them, both before and after you spend a few hundred to "uncork" them... the usual things like a better exhaust/air filter or air intake system so the bike can actually breath, proper jetting, and a lighter Lithium Battery with do wonders on these bikes... toss in a Denso or NGK Iridium Spark Plug and better tires for your riding style (on/off road, wet/dry/muddy conditions) when your originals wear out

If you don't plan on upgrading the exhaust :

Things I would do on the Brozz (it looks like your Bashan Brozz has the same parts as our Bashan WILL had), take off the Exhaust Header and check the "gasket" on the engine, if it looks like a cut up soda can they turned into a slinky for a bit... got bored after playing with it and then used it for an exhaust gasket...

I will have to look back at my records to verify but I think I replaced it with a Honda OE Exhaust gasket 18291-MN5-650, you can see the difference of the 2 gaskets below

Oh and while you are at it... grind back and smooth out the horrible weld yob inside the exhaust header while you have it off on ours a quarter would only go past the weld if everything in the universe lined up "just right"

One way to tell if you got a real Keihin carb... take the Pilot jet out... if you can actually find a replacement for it, congrats! If you find a broken off long but stubby looking jet, odds are you have a China "PZ30" Clone

Stubby pilot jet on our Keihin Clone is to the right of the screw, stock main jet emulsion tube is on the left

Oh... and before I forget... check the air filter... if it's a "Paper Filter" make sure it has a good seal around all the edges of the air filter and intake box... if it has a Foam Filter, make sure it's oiled with Foam Filter Oil... and make sure it doesn't have any holes in it... the Foam Filter on our bike had several holes cut out of it... can't filter dirt out of the air with holes in the air filter

As Azhule points out, these things are very moddable.
Make sure you break it in though before doing any major mod swings. These CG motors will change their personality dramatically between 0-500 miles. They're very tight out of box. Then, mod away for an actual comparison with the butt dyno.

As Merlin says, change the fork fluid. It will bring those forks to life. Depending on your weight, pick what fork weight you want. I'm always hovering around 200+ lbs and I like 10W. I prefer Bel Ray but to each their own. Fork oil is like talking motor oil. Do yourself a favor and measure what you get out of each fork. If the fork seems sacked originally, add a bit more (10 cc's?) on refill. I mainly measure what I dump out to see if the forks were ever close to even. Pure entertainment value.

X2 on everything 2LZ said. For the unfamiliar, 10cc = 10ml.

You can see the parts for the stock instrument cluster along with the connector it uses, as well as the section of the engine where I'm assuming the counterbalancer would be. They're calling my flight now, so I'm off.

Thank you very much guys for the tips! I will definitely order that exhaust gasket now. And I will try to track down a Hawk front brake caliper. Hawk 250.com doesn't list them. Yes the speedo pickup on the Brozz is electronic. Looks like the one you get in the digital kit for the Hawk. Judging by motocheez's video on it. My air filter is indeed a paper element. It looked to fit and seal good in the box. Does anyone know of a part number that can replace it, K&N maybe? The carb says Keihin Japan on it, it also has PD stamped on it. So I'm guessing its a Keihin PD carb. I'll have to ride the thing to see what it does. I'm not going to get to do that today. Then I will probably do all the jetting with the exhaust change. I'm wondering if that ebay exhaust everyone is buying for the Hawk will fit my Brozz. I guess there is only one way to find out.

Amazon has a ton of these generic China parts, as does FleaBay.

Thanks, That means I would have to get the sending unit too. So I just as soon order the digital speedo everyone else is getting. I know i'm a cheap bastard Money is tight so I have to pinch every penney I can. As far as exhaust i'll more than likely just cut open the cat and gut it then weld it back up. eweee that didn't come out right.

Having had both types of calipers, I'm not sure I would rush to replace the stock caliper on your bike. These bikes are light and stop pretty well IMO. Front brake can actually work a bit too well when on loose stuff....

don't ask how I know lol

I used rubber weather stripping to seal the top bracket down because the lip on the K&N filter isn't as thick as the stock one. What does the air box look like on the Brozz?

Thanks Hertz, I will have to pop the seat off tomorrow and get a few pics. Let me go see what the Hawk air box looks like. BRB

I don't think the Brozz's air box picks up air from under the seat and the lid is just solid. I'll get some pics posted of it and some air filter measurements. This weather needs to GO AWAY, I wanna ride that thang!!

I hear you on the weather thing. It got up to 11F today and that's the highest temperature we have seen in over two weeks.
