Hi Eve, nice to see another green machine out there Mine won't start very well if the temps are below 60F I did have to open the idle screw just a little too. I replied to your message.. but I really would change that oil as soon as possible.
Don't fill the tank all the way up. (it will leak out the cap)
Check center bolt in the steering (mine was loose)
The alarm is very strange, like you say, you can't turn it off with the fob. And there are no kill switches on this bile (VERY ODD for a scrambler) I never use it for starting the bike. I suggest you don't too. If it's accidentally left in gear then it will take off. The alarm is fine though. You look great on the bike, glad you are enjoying it.
