Jincheng/Lifan 72cc Monkey bike replica "Sparky"

New around here.
Hope you guys can help me with my project.
Bought the bike back in 2002, it was for my kid but in reality, I was the one who rode it most of the time. I bought a hotter cam and a header and used it for few years. After that I got into a nasty divorce and just recently I got the little bike back.
Now it is all rusted and needs a total rebuilt. Wheels are gone, both brakes are stock, tank needs to "Kreem" it in which I've done before on other bikes, cables, carb and electrical too. Good thing is that engine turns and still have good compression.
I really don't mind cause it gives me the chance to build something different. I've done few bigger "cc", Cafe Racers, mostly two strokers but would like to do something nice for this bike.
Already started disasembling the bike, except the engine that is still atached to the frame. Will start painting soon but I would like if possible to make the engine manual transmission instead of the original three semi automatic gears. Also would like to buy 10" wheels with street tires. Have already an idea for the saddle. Would also like to make it 12V instead of 6V. Can you guys give me advice on how and where are good places to buy the stuff that I need? Is there a bigger top end that will fit my Lifan engine? Many questions.........
Thanks in advance!!

If this is a sentimental thing for you then I wish you the best. Cost being the big factor you can have a new Monkey bike with a 70cc, 110cc, or 125cc with standard shift engine for between $600 to $1000 shipped to your front door. Here are some quick examples. Always do your own shopping for price because everyone has them and there is always a price battle waging on. Here is just a few quick links but there are literally hundreds of distributors of these bikes and they can always be found at very good prices.

Can you upload a picture or two ,not sure if your looking at a ct70 clone or z50 type of bike ,ct70 style should be 10 wheels stock ,and most of the chineese models I have seen were 12 volts ,actually every one I have dealt with was .Do you have a street legal title for it ?thats the only way I would bother with putting any money and time into one of those bikes ,without the title I would use parts from my parts bike stash only .
