Spud, Any thoughts about fitting a larger capacity tank to it?

How large is the fuel tank? If you have anywhere near 3 gallons, you are in good shape.

Looks like I missed the fun... Looking good. Mine does 68mph.. depending on if you push the toy speedo forwards or backwards. *shrug* I should put the GPS on it and find out for sure. I suspect Green to be faster.. something to do with the doppler shift, but who knows lol

Yep.. looks at home there.. I have a dumbass moment to confess to.. I adjusted the back brake so I barely had to touch it (which is the way I like it) unfortunately it tightened itself up as I was riding and I thought I had engine trouble. After stopping and smelling the unmistakable smell, I tried to release it but it was jammed. I unscrewed the cap from the reservoir (for some reason) and fiddled around and eventually freed it and set off again. FORGOT to tighten the cap for the brake fluid and lost the cap and rubber seal. I did find a complete actuator, hoses and reservoir for 8.50 shipped on line. I have a cap from a thinners can on it right now.
Old age.. it's a scary thing

That really is a good looking bike. Thanks for posting a photo of your motorcycle in its native habitat.

That will definitely, scientifically prove it once and for all--maybe get the guys from Mythbusters in there, too...

I wouldn't mess with the fuel tank. If the carburetor is jetted properly, you should get about 75 mpg, and have a very nice range with a 3-gallon tank.
I really like the Ken Sean/Bikemaster Dual Sport Mirrors. The offer an excellent view to the rear, and fold away for off road riding. I have installed them on my Zong, CRF250X, and XR650L; I love them. http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=12372 The Ken Sean mirrors come with installation instructions; the Bikemaster mirrors do not. Other than the instructions, these two mirrors are identical. Shop for the best price. http://www.powersportsuperstore.com/...tm?Click=35177 I suggest you avoid the Emgo copy mirrors; they are cheaper, but they are not built as well.

Thanks Spud. She starts very rough cold but I'll hold off on playing with the carb till I remove the smog junk as I'll have to make some adjustments then. I may put the 30mm mikuni on there as I think I'll have more jets available to me.

You have the same Power Ranger-looking mirrors that my Q has. I just tweaked them way out sideways. One can see around my shoulder. The other is for visual effect only.
Really like the bike and the color. I have similar tires on my Q and really like them a lot. Suitable for trails and really nice on paved twisties.
