GS 200 Style Bikes

Does anyone own or ridden one of the GS200 type street bikes? Don't worry about the MSRP of this example, my scooter came from here and was $1200 delivered with an MSRP of $2199 I swear they just roll dice to pick MSRP 8O Thanks! Curious about performance, ride, ect.

Is that a 250 thumper?
I only see 1 exhaust.

Those are nice bikes. I really wish that I had the funds to open a shop that carried these and Lifan bikes. I'd do it in a heartbeat!
I think it would go in the area I live.

I hear you. Gas just hit $1.19 per Litre. That's about $4.76 per gallon. I think these would sell like hotcakes locally.

Even my scooter is a bit of an oddity around here. $1.19 litre 8O No wonder so many Canadians fill up in Maine! I see more and more little bikes and scooters all the time. I'd love to have one of those Zong Shen 250's I think it would be a great little commuter bike. Claims 70 mpg. That's about what the scooter gets and it has CVT drive which has some slippage. Kinda the difference between and old AT tranny and a standard in a car.

I think it's a sharp looking bike. Love the black out treatment.

Aaron--Did you ever get or ride or find any reviews of the street sport bikes? My daughter really likes this one:

Ferrit no I didn't. UM is highly thought of in the scooter world they make a good product. A V-twin sport bike..haven't seen that other that the Hyosung 250 and 650 which are also top notch bikes. If you go look at or get one make sure you post info on it...I'm to fat for such an enterprise though I'd look like a monkey humpin' a football on it.

But with a MSRP that is $700 lower than the United Motors 250, I would definitely go with the Ninja 250.

Further research shows that UM entered into an agreement with Hyosung and that is a Hyosung bike. Hyosungs are very nice. Very Ducatiish. The 650 model is derived from the SV650 Suzuki which Hyosung built for suzuki. Hyosung has improved it thumbed their noses at suzuki and is off doing their thing now. Hyosung is not a mainland China Manufacturer but either Taiwan or Korea...I can't remember. The Ninja 250 is a proven performer. This will out handle it but your right for $700 less I'd go with the benchmark as well. You may be able to get this cheaper than they are priced here.

ZONGSHEN GS 250

That bike is just the rage in the Philippines! its very popular and quite reliable! Because income here per capita is lower than most of the world, this bikes popularity stems from the one cylinder engine that produces great all around usable power and most people here cant afford even a used BIG-BIKE so these bikes only cost $1200 here! YUP very attractive considering a pre-owned BIG BIKE runs at around $1900! and thats risky business if your other choice is a new bike with warranty!

THE CHOICE IS VERY CLEAR!

Practicality....yes! High cost...NO! Low maintenance? ABSOLUTELY!

I can get any part fromthis bike shipped anywhere in the world in less than 3 weeks! Thats what i do and do best.
