Rats

Although I am still hoping for a miracle, it looks like we are going to be canceling our motorcycle race adventure for this weekend. We have had a terrible attack of global warming over the central Washington desert. The temperatures are going to be in the 30s and 40s, and it's supposed to rain Friday Saturday Sunday and Monday. Needless to say, this is highly unusual, although ironically about the same as it was last year. Given the fact that I have almost no experience riding in rain and muddy conditions, Plus the fact that the only experience I have in these conditions has been unpleasant, I am not highly motivated to go and injure myself. Furthermore, and perhaps more importantly, everybody that I was supposed to be going with this not want to ride in the rain either. My apologies to my friends Wild Alaskan for not making it this year either.

Son of Weldangrind and I were planning to join you last year, Bill. We were working towards the DS ride, and the same weather pattern happened.

that s a shame, i was looking forward to some action shots! but we ll hear from wildalaskan, sth to look forward to take it easy and safely WA!

you re right, fastdoc, that weather is indeed due to global warming, some areas get colder and wetter while other areas get drier and hotter. also seasons shift, warm xmas, icy easter etc.

The weather turned out fine. We didn't get a drop of rain here. Indeed both days were mostly mixed or sunny, although Sunday was very windy. I love Roger but I'm hiding my disappointment form him until this becomes umimportant. Should be soon.

A local ride form this weekend. I rode 90 miles Saturday, and 50 on Sunday.
