It has been a great week!!!!

Not only is it the Friday before a long weekend (yay BC Day) but my wife also got a new job , its only part time to start but sounds like it will turn into full time, so happy for her. She starts on August 15th

The best part is that its the first job either of us have had that is in the same town we live in, I still commute :( . She was commuting 3hrs a day but since our oldest son is starting kindergarten next month we wanted one of us to be close to home, so she quit her job and started looking, it took a while but she found one. If all goes well I may start looking for her quad in a few months, maybe a Christmas present, we'll see.

And on top of all that I am going tomorrow to pick-up a trailer from midlifekrisiz tomorrow so I no longer have to haul my sons 110cc atv in the back of my minivan

So all in all it has been a great week 8)

Awesome news! Are you commuting as far as your wife did?

No my commute is only about 45 minutes each way, if traffic co-operates.

We live in Chilliwack right on a feeder road to the highway and I work in Langley right off the hiqhway at 200th so my commute is not so bad. It also helps that a buddy from work also lives in Chilliwack so we commute together, helps pass the time and cuts the fuel costs in half

My wife was commuting to the Sullivan area of Surrey (152nd and 60th approx) so an hour or more of her commute was in town driving. It didn't help that she was also the most reliable, most willing to work extra time person on staff even though she lived the furthest away, so some days were really long.

But in the end it was worth it because when she quit her old job her boss told her she would hire her back in an instant and according to her new boss she got a glowing reference.

There are benefits to commuting to 200th and Highway 1, not the least of which is easy access to Metal Supermarket.

The drive between exit 92 and the Vedder crossing can be brutal in the winter; it's a good thing that we don't get snow very often.
