An excellent job my friend and it looks right at home on the side of the mountain, beautiful scenery . How does it handle with those big tires? Does it feel like a conventional motorcycle or a little different? I've always wondered about that on the TW's.

Awesome job, you've got yourself a sharp looking ride there, I'm looking forward to some ride reports from your area, the closest I've been your way was Kamloops and most of that time was spent in the Chevy dealership shop!
Thanks Stew.

The red seat looked sorta pinkish in the sunlight, so I wanted to cover it right away. I intend to order a new cover on eBay, so I painted it with vinyl paint for now; it's showing through in some spots, but NBD.

It handles remarkably well on the street! I really laid it into some turns, and it felt very smooth and predictable, despite those giant knobbies. It wasn't bad on the loose gravel at the top of the mountain, either.

I intend to slowly make changes and document them here, and I'll post ride reports as they happen. Stew, I'm really interested in getting together for a dual sport ride. Could we meet in Valemount? That's the half way point, and it's cheap to stay there.

Oh, Man! It was the best feeling when I rode down the street for the first time. Still getting to know her, but she's a keeper.

Yup. I heard that too. I should send him some random parts from the Southeast Washington Desert also.
Thanks Doc!

I'm no expert, but I really enjoy resurrecting old bikes. Check back here once in awhile for updates, since my TW will evolve over time.

That's funny! I'm glad you noticed that. On that topic, I filled up at Chevron with 92, and it cost less than $9.00. I haven't looked at an owners manual to see what I should be feeding her, but she seems to like the high test.

Thanks Jim! The truth is, I can't hardly stand the thought of someone else working on my bikes. Spending time in the shop, being as compulsive as I wish is therapy for me.

So true, weld. I can't stand letting others work on mine either. Alot of people don't understand the pride and accomplishment of it. Anyone can buy a bike but making it yours is the difference. I even have people give me a strange look when they hear, I change and balance my own tires. I guess some will never understand

Yup.

I understand 1000%. Not to say it's not sometimes a frustration but working on bikes is therapy for me. It keeps my mind off other stuff, it's time spent with my friends here even if I'm alone in the garage, is productive and 'relaxing'.

My medical collegues don't get it and that's OK. I don't get golf. :P

Thanks! I have two bikes left to build and two that are nearly completed. I'll then have three to sell (maybe four) and fun stuff to ride.

Looking forward to Street Rat updates.

The red/green colour deficiency got on my nerves, but it was otherwise a lot of fun, and it will continue to be.

I don't get golf either. My Grandpa used to say that chasing the ball is the dog's job.

Funny comment about golf!

One of my vision frustrations is I need bifocals and I'm resisting. As a consequence I can't see small parts like carb innards well. Distance is no bargin either and my shooting is not quite as competitive as it used to be.

47 and counting, it will only get worse from here on out...

Golf is something, I never understood either. My wife says golf is a nice walk messed up by a little white ball. I look at it the same way.

I've been resisting bi-focals for a while myself. I'm near sighted so, I do where glasses just can't read or do anything close with em on so, I normally take em off for close up work which is normally in my shop so, I throw on a pair of safety glasses. They've saved my eyes more times than I can count
