Clutch - bolt failure

Good afternoon, because the clutch was constant slippery when giving a go from low rpm, i tough to add a gasket on the spring in order to make it stiffer as i could not find any parts ready for the maintenance i was planning (springs, plates).
Any way, after over tighting one bolt the head came of, now i have to replace the back cover of the clutch.

Any suggestions?

After assembling everything back, i give it a try on the street and was working good, but because i do not want to destroy it, just getting readyfor the workshop.
It is zong 200gy, if i ride like this it will destroy the clutch?

Hi geo99rge,

I wouldn't ride it like that, because there is unever pressure. I would just order a new clutch basket and discs and replace everything. You don't want bits of metal floating around in the engine.

Is it possible to use a drill and an easy out to get the broken part of the bolt out? Nothing to lose if your going to replace the basket anyway.

nice notice MICRider, nothing to loose, but i have to wait for next weekend to get on the repair myself,
thanks for the answers but i will go to workshop, mentioning this point if can pull it out, or we go for new basket, the thing is that i use the bike to go to work to do everything with my bike (a little addictive) that i do not want to use the car at all in the city. its practical.

Wishing you the best of luck with it. I know how you feel about riding, in the summer the only time I take my car is if I'm going somewhere with my son or buying lots of groceries

Jujust for the end of the story, the bolt was taken out with easy and new plates yamaha were put on, the result there is no slippery at all! The bikes responds instantly to the throttle, after discussing the engineer told that the basket is made the wrong way by the factory because it does not open evenly the gaps between the plates, just one big gap from the drive plate and as also to destroy the plates faster.

I'm glad you got your clutch fixed, George.
