2006/7 Qingqi GM200-GY oil level?

I say 2006/7 as the title says 06, but the sicker on the bike says manufactured 2007 (weird).

So anyway, I can't find in the manual if oil level is supposed to be checked with bike level or on kick-stand.

The manual appears to imply checking on the kickstand, but on kick-stand it would take more than the 1qt spec to put it in the middle of the L/H sight bubble.

Comments?

Any bike with a site glass should be checked with you holding the bike level. Most chinabikes take about a liter (just over a quart)

Nice bike. If it's the one I'm thinking of one of the best Chinabikes available.

The oil is checked through the sight glass with the bike vertical. Capacity as I recall is one litre.

Alright y, while level it's just a smidgen or so over the full line, good enough or should I drain a bit to be safe?

I'll got it earlier this month (less than 500 Kilometers on it!), it's the super moto version.

I changed the oil, cleaned it up, and put on some moose hand guards. I ordered some new on/off road tires (better for winter riding IMO) and will post pics after I mount up the tires next week.

4.60 in the front
5.10 in the rear

no clearance issues (the rear is actually less wide than stock), prob could have gone with the 3.00 in the front, but I was going for a tw200 type deal.

That's the same bike as the XF200, and it is 17" front and back. Those tires look really cool on there.

It's not as floppy as the street tires were, ie it tends to want to be pushed down in the corners, rather than fall into the corners. This may be somewhat affected by air pressure too though, I have the air set at about 27/28 PSI right now.

It's been a long time since I've owned a dirt bike, so I can't comment on how it compares. I just got them mounted up yesterday, so I'll have to ride it for a couple more weeks to get a feel for the handling.

Basically I was just looking for a more do-it-all winter type bike to balance my summer street only ride. I'll need more time to see if I've ruined the street-worthyness of this ride or not.

My initial thought is the 3.0 on the front would've made it turn in a bit easier, but with the 4.6 I bet I could roll over must curbs/pedestrians/etc in the city.

One more pic from the ride @lunch:

It feels a-ok in the corners, I just need to push the bars a bit/lean.

Prior it' would cruise at an indicated 55MPH, now 50MP indicated is the new comfortable flat-road cruise speed.

I'd have to test with GPS to confirm though, as the Shinkos are a taller tire I think.

The Shinko SR244 tires perform pretty well everywhere, except in mud.
