Pics of Jims antique BSA/BritBike shop and collection.

I stopped by Jim's shop to check on the progress of the Beezer and to take some pics for you all.

It was a great day to be there. Sunny and temps in the low 90's and there was a vintage motorcycle show going on. I happened to be on my restored 1978 GS750 and she (Betty) fit right in! :P

So here are pics of the show and the shop, in no particular order.

Bike porn. The awesome CBX. The sexiest bike engine ever made. Drool. :P

Early 60's Honda Benley. It was with simple quality machines like this the Japanese brought down the Brits. This is my 1972 CB175's grandfather.

Ugly BSA chopper from the late 60's. It is better than my BSA though. This one runs.

Close up of a Honda Benley.

XR125 for sale for $125. I can't BELIEVE I didn't buy it!

CBX

CX500 Turbo. You don't see one of these every day. It sounds like no other bike I've ever heard! :P

Modern Triumph.

No oil leak. :P

XS650 Cafe/Flat tracker.

This is what my BSA SHOULD look like.

My beautiful GS.

I think ALL these BSA's elong to Jim the shopowner/mechanic. 8)

A 'modern' Royal Enfield.

It still has Lucas electrics though!

BritBike Heaven in the Washington desert. :P

THIS bike was beautiful!

To be continued...

Inside the shop pics.

Most of Jim's bikes, mabye 20 or more, were outside in the show.

ALWAYS train your BritBike to use the litterbox. :?

Parts.

More parts.

More parts.

RIP Restoration In Progress.

Token Japanese bike. Something's gotta run to go get parts!

Will it live doctor?

BIG shop! :!:

Parts!

My engine in pieces.

Some spare parts that will be becoming part of my motor. The crankcase will need to be replaced AND the crankshaft was bent.

Jim the master of BritBikes in the Southeast Washington Desert. :P

Somewhere I have a pic of the Suzuki RE-5 Rotary bike. That was one odd duck!

Thanks for the pics Doc! I'm quite envious of Jim's setup; that's a great looking shop.

Perhaps Jim would take the BSA on Trade for some other interesting bike he has in stock. He'd certainly give it a good home.

Shame on you for not buying that XL! 8O

I have non-buyers remorse about the XL. Its tank was very rusty.

Jim is in his early 70's so I'm not sure how much longer he will be doing this. He's been fixing BritBikes for 50 years.

I'd trade for that Enfield. :P

Neat trip and great pics. I love those shops, where you can see what the heck is going on.
Did you get to hear that CX500 Turbo on the "boil"...
My neighbor said he could hear the turbine whistle from half-a-mile away when I pulled out from the stop light into our neighborhood...
