ya because to change the side cover i must disassemble the hole motor, so i will take the time to put new gaskets and rings mabe even a new piston with higher compression and cam shaft. i was also going to port and polish the head for more flow.

I'm sorry Anthony, I don't understand why you have to split the cases to replace a side cover... The covers can be unbolted without touching the main case. Do you have a pic of the damage or something?

Ahhh! I got it now! You were wanting to rebuild it because the previous owner took it all apart already. I can't read french so I have no clue what the ad says other than he want's $175 for it. Personally, I would steer clear of a basket case engine. Sorry this doesn't help you much but I was just trying to figure out why you would want to rebuild an engine just because of a broken side cover. How much does GIO charge for a complete new 250 cc engine? (Though I hate dealing with them, they're pretty much the only game in town in Canada)

Ouch! Pricey, didn't realize it would be that much. Hopefully someone can help you out with the info your looking for. A simple rebuild shouldn't be too bad but I have no idea on the hop up parts. Best of luck with it

I had a look at the images, and I had Son of Weldangrind translate the Kijiji ad for me. The engine doesn't look like a typical Honda clone to me, but it is an OHC engine.

Does your Beast engine still run? If so, I would just get a big bore kit for it to create 230cc, which is likely what the Kijiji engine is. You would not even need to split your engine case.

Do you have a pic of the same kind of engine, but fully assembled? If it's a Honda clone with OHC, then Honda XR200R parts and info will be good.

250cc, air cooled, four-stroke Zongshen CB-250 Engine delivers hard hitting power from mid to high rpm. Loncin is one of the leaders in quality motorcycle engines. The engine is CB-250 which is cam chain and overhead cam. It is not push rod engine. It has better performance compared to push rod engine, better performance then previous models GIO 250cc Pro Series. Engine can increase 1-2Kw under the same condition. Clutch deisgn is much lighter then previous models, it reduces 2kgf.
just the motor i found is black

and also if u read here http://www.chinariders.net/modules.p...wtopic&t=12213 parts from a crf230 can fit in the motor ???
