Magician Air Box Mods

got the xt 250 airbox in. Battery is not fully seated in the tray, but other than that fits great and the bike LOVES it!

Awesome. Any modifications required? Can you take some pix of the filter access? Does it use the same size filter?

The only mods are to shave a tad off the back of the battery tray. Other than that it bolts right up!. Il send some filter pic soon. It's a xt250 filter that's a very small rectangle inserted through the top.

Can I ask a stupid question? What is the end benefit to changing the air box? No I am not being funny just wondering as to why or what the end gain might be.

Is the stock box restrictive? or hard to find an air filter for?

man that's not a dumb question. I found the airflow to the carb to be much more stable. And the inner working of the yamaha box are better quality. With an available paper or slide in k&n you've got the best of both worlds with the new box. 44$ on eBay can't be beat IMO. Also even though the stock box was sealed just as good that filter IMO was an accident waiting to happen.

The box have a good seal, but the stock filter is crap...

Since they are made locally they are quite cheap and the oil for them also.

That sucks, i used to host them using photobucket, but photobucket is quite crappy... Now i'm hosting them on google photos, but it seems is not very friendly with forums...

if you just post the pics using the paper clip on the forum they will always be here for future generations to see. if you host them somewhere else and the account goes dormant or deleted they will disappear from here.
