I had reported before in a post weeks ago after an accidental phone conversation with the head of American Lifan (like I said--I don't think he meant to pick up a customer inquiry call, lol) that their upcoming X-Pect 200 would be fuel-injected; I called A. Lifan this afternoon, and the sales guy reiterated that the X-Pect 200 will have 'the same engine as the KP/KPR 200' meaning it will be fuel-injected AND liquid cooled. I am not holding my breath and I don't want to spread misinformation, but am stating what was told to me. Heck, I would settle for the typical carb 'formula' of a simple thumper with a carb stuck in a Chinese enduro that numerous brands are already selling here as the Lifan should be a cut above the rest even with a 'mere'
200cc engine as I remember their GY-5 200 enduro was very potent when it came here about 10 years ago (I missed that boat). But a simple Chinese enduro with an already somewhat proven fuel-injected and liquid cooled engine could make it a game changer, and price should theoretically be less than their KP/KPR200 street bikes, which would put it in CSC TT250 territory. March 2019 should bring new bikes here, although no telling which ones (if any).
