When I pull up lightly on the lever nothing happens it’s not stiff it goes up but there’s no clicking or and noises when I do that

Yes shipping was changed almost immediately he rode with fresh oil. I’ve tried everything rocking back and fouth still nothing took the shifter off and adjusted it so it wasn’t hiting the bolt...

Recently bought a 2020 hawk 250 my son took it for a spin and came back shortly with issues only rode for about a mile if that. Any suggestions it was fresh outta the crate less then a week ago
