The tach on my bike is vacuum powered and runs to the carburetor. There isn't any mechanical port on the engine for a tach. I suspect that is the case for most of the Chinese motors.

Make sure you grease the swing arm bolt. My Viva GY200 had a grease fitting for this, but it wasn't welded correctly. I had to disassemble the rear suspension to grease it.
