Engine knock sound, thoughts?
 

Seems like in hogging this forum so bear with me
Zong is making engine knocking sound, its a lot quieter now so this sound is very exaggerated, but still a definite knock there,
She starts/idles/rides fine its when in idle you hear this , and low-medium revs
Im suspecting timing?

Try putting your hand over the exhaust and pay attention to how the noise changes. If it is exhaust leak, the sound should change.

Pull the clutch lever and see if it changes.

Check the valve clearances.

Ok this is video taken today, you can hear knock/rattle every 2-3 seconds exhaust sounds are gone its got a kind of possible tapping sounds

I'm thinking along the lines of the other 2 folks, did you ever check the valves yet or maybe you did what everyone here has done at least once before... set the valves on the wrong stroke/T line?

It makes a really loud "Tappy Tappy Tappy" sound when you do the valves on the wrong T-line :hehe:

Yes double checked valves, no change in blocking exhaust off,clutch in no change either, i raised idle speed has quieter noise still there on rev up ,think ill have to look at timing? Not sure if i should advance or retard, im thinking retard
