Magician Fuel Gauge Advice Please

Hey guys, so I'm gearing up for a long ride and I'd really like to know about the Magician range on one tank of gas, and how I can get a working fuel gauge.

I don't think the bike has a fuel gauge even though it has the lights for it, which is pretty rude.

Is there an aftermarket fuel sensor I can wire in, maybe even the Hawks?

Mine goes off right after i need to switch it to reserve lol.

Best bet will probably bend the float down or weigh it down so it triggers earlier, use a multimeter to make sure yours is even working first.

not sure about the magician but you can take the fuel line off and drain it till it runs out while the bike is level. then turn it to reserve and drain it into something you can measure how much it is then figure 20 mpg and you know how far you can push the reserve. 20mpg is probably really conservative. another way is to fill it and ride till it quits and not mileage then if you have a can of gas with you run the reserve out and note how far you went then you will know.

Test the ohm reading w/ multimeter from different fuel level. 100ohm (2 wire) type is de facto in china bike & easy to find something that display the differnt fuel level...
Hawk: http://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=17413&page=2 Popular magician are as https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=535468820636

if its like the hawk and has a float there are ears on each side. bend those while reading an ohm meter. one way should be around 10 and the other way around 90. just bend them till you get those readings and it will read right.

I can get to about 180km on the trip meter before refueling, not including reserve.
