Zong nuddie pic..

Since every peice of the bike is scuffed and dinged, I figured I couldn't hurt it with a cheap facelift.

I'll probably finish it tonight late or tomorrow sometime,

You can get vinyl upholstery die at any auto parts house to paint the seat.I wash them down with blue Dawn dish soap.I put the Dawn directly on the seat and scrub with a soft brush and rinse.Don't touch the seat with your bare hands. Then I wipe the seat down with rubbing alcohol. Then I spray the dye in very fine coats allowing time for the dye to flash dry before the next fine coat.

Looks awesome! Not to sure what you want to do with the seat color but a little Brak-Kleen and a few paper towels should take the lettering off. Worked like a champ on my Q, per Doc's suggestion.

I just noticed....do you have the OHC version of that motor? Cool!

I know when people here "Zongshen", you automatically think of Spud's Sierra, the Yamaha clone. I have the pushrod Hondanoid, much like yours....and my owners manual says Zongshen all over it.

Personally, I wouldn't remove the lettering from the saddle, since Ben has a rare specimen, the Zongshen 200GY-A. Indeed, unlike my Zongshen 200GY-2, Ben's bike is a hondoid. Nevertheless, as with you, 2LZ, Ben has been assimilated into The Cult of The Zong. 8)

I'm thinking I might try to find some matte clear coat and take it apart to give it a once over with that. This paint seems to scuff a grey color pretty easy.

one more random pic

And this is funny crap "BRITE TOUCH" / Flat Black....

You might consider experimenting with Krylon Fusion spray paint; it adheres to plastic very well, and does not scuff off.

I wonder about that seat dye, if I get on the bike after it's sat in a 100 degree parking lot for a few hours, is that stuff going to dye my arse black?

It's my regular grocery getter, few things I still want for it, but riding it everyday after having it down for a few days is nice.
