I got the ducati!!!!
I am very happy and excited.
Roger drove me to Seattle early Sunday morning. The bike was as advertised. Perfect. Like new/show condition other than some oil on the chain and the nubbins worn off the tires it was like new. The man who owned it before me loved it and did not ride it much. The service records were comprehensive and up to date and it rode perfectly. The ride home was amazing. 125 HP and about 435 lbs makes for a quick ride. Smooth and easy and a beautiful mellow basso profundo from the carbon fiber cans. 250 miles went by easy, on less than a tank of gas. Stopping for lunch with Roger in Roslyn, WA, the site of the filming of Northern Exposure. Riding it out of the seller's garage in Seattle.

So.... It begs asking... You gonna change your username to fastduc, as the play on words works rather well, and it would be a true statement as well?

Thanks guys, I am very happy.
I don't get too excited about stuff, but this bike turns on all the right switches in my brain. A license plate in Washington has 6 spaces. DRDUCK is taken SOPHIA (her name...) is taken. Available are: FSTDOC DR DUC FASTMD MDFAST FASTER CIAO DRDSMO I'm leaning towards FASTMD. Any thoughts or suggestions?

FASTMD is good but DRDSMO says something.

BTW this thing wants to run. Redline is 10,000 RPM.
It will break any American national speed limit in 1st. 5,000 RPM in 6th gives 85-90 MPH. Around town speeds I'm in 3rd or 4th (40-50 MPH). It's geared for the Bonneville Salt Flats LOL!
