Smile X-pro BD250-5 EFI

Hey everybody, new guy here.

I've recently purchased the x-pro 250cc efi bike, and I'm having trouble finding videos and feedback on maintenance and service for this model. I'm starting to assume that videos and information from the hawk250 efi are going to be similar, as I'd think the engines are the same. I just wanted to post here to see if anyone has one of the bikes I've got, and if they can steer me in the right direction of type of oil to use, and mods they found that made a big difference

Currently I've got an oil cooler I plan to install, exhaust, and I'm considering gearing for more top end. I also saw a video about advancing timing, and intend to change the air filter.

Well I'm hoping that I'm not the only one with this bike, and that some of you can offer some of your words of wisdom.

Thanks!

The X-pro BD250-5 EFI is a new bike. You probably won't find much information on it. The Engine is a 223cc 165FMM-P. Completely different than the Hawk engine. The engine will very similar to the Venom X22R 250.

The BD-5 is pretty much the same as the Venom Superbike 250 https://www.venommotorsportsusa.com/...ted-motorcycle

Here is a video of someone unboxing one. He used to be a member here but argued a lot regarding other bikes, but he might have some insight into the bike.

Thanks for the responses, I was thinking it would be most similar to the X22R, so was following a bit of your videos, jerryhawk250, as reference before posting here. What kind of oil did you use for first oil change and after breaking in? (I remeber hearing you talk about it in a video i think... cant recall where/what video i heard it in) Think that's my biggest concern in the beginning, as there's no oil weight mentioned in the user manual that came with the bike. I was going to go with a 10w-30 4 stroke oil

This is the US office for Baodiao. They do not show the '5' on their page, but the 6, 7, 2-II, and 2-III all use the same 223cc EFI thumper engine. However, I have tried calling them several times in the past couple months, and no one answers the calls. Email them for all it's worth! http://www.baodiaomt.com/MOTORCYCLE_SCOOTER_BIKE/

This is the most detailed spec sheet/ owner's manual that I've been able to find for the bike:

Thank you broncorides

Thanks for checking! That manual came with the bike...

I would like to upgrade my chain.. it has a 428H 124L now which from what I find is rated at 150cc max.

Does anyone know of a higher quality chain? Not looking for Budget items.
Also suspension, fork and rear single.

Ride Safe!
Jared

The 428 size chain is good. I don't suggest going to a 520 for that bike. It's unneeded. A better 428 chain is what you need. The crap chain that comes in these bikes aren't they best, but they work. If you don't have a lot of miles on the bike, go ahead and order a better quality chain. EK and D.I.D are some of the best. They're costly, though. Anything more budget friendly is renthal and Turner.
