Gio 150 Monster Chain Slider

This is a minor mod, but necessary for my sanity. The stock setup has the chain running over the swingarm that has a sheetmetal cover. Since a properly adjusted chain will be loose at rest and taut under power, and since the chain tension is dynamic through the suspension travel, the chain slaps against the sheetmetal.

Enter one piece of UHMW plastic, procured at the local plastic shop for cheap. I just drilled and counter-sunk a couple of holes for 1/4" bolts for installation. Problem solved.

The slap would bother me too.

Simple but neccesary item there!

Thanks for the inspiration! This is one of the mods I plan for the same reasons on my son's 250T. It's really annoying to hear it slap the swingarm pivot.

This one is sort of unique, in that the chain is to the right of center. Our Gio Beast has a more traditional layout, with the chain running right over the left swingarm tube. That one will take a little more creativity. Stay tuned...
