250cc Water-cooled Quad

Discovered this 250cc water-cooled quad/ATV from the manufacturer that makes the Rebel T3, some of the other products that GIO sells. Note all the GIO boxes in the background.

I just noticed in some of the pictures, it has an air-cooled engine.

Nice looking machine, but I'd choose air cooled over liquid.

Maybe I'm just an eagle eyed Canadian, but the motor in the quad on the top has to be air cooled. It has cooling fins and no rad visible. The zoom is side shots of the motor are showing a different powerplant than the above photos.

with that said, maybe it comes in two configurations. The body kit is sweet.

Note the last line in my post. I noticed it too, and it doesn't look that big either, like a 110. Yet the body/frame seems to have the mounts and molding for a rad. Hmmm....

250cc with relatively low compression does not justify the complexity of a liquid cooling system (especially a Chinese system). Now, if I could be assured that the parts from some specific Honda would interchange, I'd consider it.

Otherwise, you'll be fabricating your own gaskets. Ugh.

and in green. looks kinda like the kawa 450. it is funny that they put the inner shroud.. usually that is to keep debrie and things from the radiator..

that quad looks pretty good, just wish a company would do a better job with the rear swing arm/axle setup, ya know something nice, strong, looks better..

btw everytime i see a kfx450 i like it more and more

i also was looking at a liquide cooled motor for my motor, since i thought that air cooled cant really do a good job at cooling a motor.. thought that a liquide cooled motor would "cool" better. ive even thought about adding another fan directly below the stocker on my quad pointing up towards the bottem side of the curve in the header pipe

Air cooled is fine on the smaller models.

That is a pretty good looking Quad but I too wonder why the mix of photos. Like Reveen says, bad specs are like no specs. Same with pics I supose.

This is a Honda style axle with eccentric adjustment. I'd be happy with it, especially compared to my first generation Beast rear axle.

It's the total opposite of our machines. Our swingarms are on the outside of the frame with the bushings in the frame. The swingarm is just DOM that the bolt passes through.

The swingarm in the above photo is contained within the frame. Notice how the swingarm doesn't taper in to the axle, Mizke? That's similar to a PM discussion we had.
