Canister? That's throwing me off..

Your SAI injection system has a connection off the engine exhaust port, then another hose to the carb intake plenum, and the final - may go to open air, or to a port on your air box.

My SAI and crankcase vent hoses went to nothing.. no filters, nothing.

I grabbed a small 'pod' filter and replaced the hose off the crankcase to nothing, with the filter. Just don't remove the catch-can check valve.. OR, remove the stuff on the crankcase vent port and place a hose mounted vertically with a filter on the end. Any oil vented out will drain back down in the crankcase though. Filter should keep dust / air particles out.

As for the SAI - I removed all that crap, blocked the port engine side from the SAI, and popped in a booster bottle to the nipple on the intake plenum.

Do you have pictures? I'll take some of mine so you have an idea - minus the SAI stuff..

https://ibb.co/YLLg0Hg <-- there's my bottle and location

https://ibb.co/sCks8Sw<-- Hose going to boost bottle on the intake plenum. That would actually be where one of the hoses would go for the SAI injection system. For me, on the left side of my bike - that's where the SAI was. The hose coming off pointing to the ground went in front around the engine to the intake plenum. Then, the rogue hose that went up under the seat - to nothing.

https://ibb.co/k2jzKBB <-- here's a shot of my crankcase vent hose filter. Filter replaced the hose going up under the seat to nothing.

https://ibb.co/brtx4L9 <-- That would be the port I was speaking of ON the air box, but already had that plug in it. And again, nothing was plugged into it lol..

https://ibb.co/pztz8nv <-- Crankcase hose to check-valve. Filter is just out of the way being blocked by the carb. I have a clear tube on the bottom of the check valve to see how much WOT I've been running - I mean, how much blow-by I've accumulated
Where the filter is attached was a hose; took that off because it was routed up under the seat - and to absolutely nothing.

Also, check your SAI hoses - one of my hoses, the INTAKE hose - was pinched completely blocking air going through it. After I found that little hiccup, I didn't have any running issues afterwards. With that hose being pinched, idk why, but wouldn't stay on for long. Looked up how 'optional' the SAI is so I removed it. MUCH better after taking that off.

https://ibb.co/fQ36QzT <-- Last but not least, there's where the exhaust port hose goes to the engine; where my block plate is now. Pushes crap dirt air back into the intake where my boost bottle hose is on the intake plenum. STUPID idea.. And yes, because of Cali (not hating) that's why they are there.. and catalytic converters..

I didn't have any hoses but the fuel line going to the carburetor itself, though - you got me on that hose going to somewhere on the carb next to the idle adjustment screw..

Guess that's why my bike was listed very strongly stating "NOT LEGAL FOR CALIFORNIA"

Forgot about those - Thanks Jeffrey!

I looked at mine this morning and I believe that is correct. I can't see exactly because the left hose on the cannister goes over the frame and is obscured by the tank, but it looks like it feeds into the carb. The other hose is as you described. The tank has only been off once to adjust the valves so everything should be as it left CSC.

Plump Kibbles,
thanks for info and photos, yours is missing the emission kit ... lucky you

danfandango,
Yup I'm pretty confident its correct now - much thanks for confirming
for prosperity ill post what exactly it looks like

the leftmost hose/line on the carbon canister routes to the right side of the carb (right side of bike) see below
https://ibb.co/kJNnWVC
https://ibb.co/ZBBQPf6

the hose/line on the rubber boot between the engine and carb runs to the front right of the bike, and it attached to an airpump (is that what it is?) - right below the horn

No worries man! There is no emissions system on the bike to begin with. That SAIS supposedly just helps reduce down-rev popping / backfire. If you tune your carb correctly you won't have any of that to begin with.. Your charCOAL filter is your emissions, and your catalytic converter - if you haven't already replaced your exhaust.. I removed all that stuff; we don't do emissions testing in VA - WV doesn't even have laws against emissions / decibel restrictions period. You can run straight pipes off whatever!

Here's some info on your SAIS - https://www.boosterplug.com/shop/cms...injection.html

What state are you in?

Just check your emissions laws to see if that is a required piece - haven't seen anywhere that requires it per say. If you replace your exhaust with a non-restrictive pipe like everyone else - then you won't even need that SAIS. And as far as emissions goes, if you do the exhaust - you're not going to be worried about emissions anyway, not running a catalytic converter anymore. So, pick your battle - I'll stay un-restricted! (like everyone else)
