Which handguards fit the Lifan X-Pect well? Tusk D-Sport?
Does anyone know a set of hand guards that fit the X-pect well? After bending my clutch lever while off-road riding, I'd like to add some protection.
I bought a set of guards on amazon and they did not fit well. After messing with them I ended up returning them. I'm looking at the Tusk models from Rocky Mountain ATV. They're more expensive, and I don't see any references to them fitting the X-Pect. |

I have a pair I have been trying to fit. I am not sure that any will fit well with the stock levers as the ends stick out to far. The only way to fit on the stock bars is to buy short levers. Another issue, at least on my bike, is the throttle housing sticks out 5/8 inch past the bar end. The grips are 4 1/4 inch across so if you cut off 5/8 inch they get mighty small for your hand. Maybe that is not a big deal depending on how long the handguard fastening rod and nut are but it does reduce the fastening grip length (inside the bar) and the strength and fit of the handguard on that side overall. Most handguard ends are designed to fit right against the bar end.
I am working on a solution for the Backroad bike (the stock levers) but I am waiting on late parts and it will take at best a week or two to see if it will work. If you can wait that long might be worth it but it is a development project so there is no guarantee. |

It was several weeks ago when I last put the controls on. I got to thinking after I posted why does that throttle tube not fit flush, it should, so I took a look at it. The starter button is pinned to the bar and that keeps the throttle from sliding all the way in, at least it is that way on my bike so the bar was either drilled wrong or it needs modifying which means drilling a guide hole further in which appears the best solution.
Looks like those hand levers are consistent in their resistance to force! |

I remember your thread. I thought of if after bending the lever. I mostly bent it back, but in doing so I snapped off the last inch. |

I left mine since it doesn’t interfere with my riding at all. I’ll replace later sometime. It’s more about fashion than anything else for me. My 2 brake fingers fit perfectly on the lever still

I poked around on Amazon and ordered a lever that looked like it would fit the factory mount. I'll post if it does or does not. |

How about these, they are listed as compatible with the Xpect?
