TT250 Catalytic Converter
I plan on doing some various stages of performance mods to my TT250. I have the 14/47 sprocket combo installed and the 17/45 for future install. I am debating a 30mm pumper or Lectron. I have a spare head from CSC and have already done a bit of porting and polishing to it and plan on decking. I bought the eBay exhaust but haven't installed it yet (don't really like loosing heat shields and gaining a melted airbox). I was on CSC website learning about the various parts of the emissions system and came across an interesting picture that had me questioning my eBay exhaust purchase.
Can the catalytic converter be simply removed by unbolting the exhaust? (It's part #19 in the picture) From the picture the Cat is a separate part and I can't see how it installs in the exhaust unless it simply inserts between the header pipe and muffler pipe. Can anyone confirm this? Also is there any performance gain from an emissions delete or is it just weight savings? And well I have your attention 30mm pumper or Lectron?
