Reading codes

I was wondering how one checks why the CEL light is on? Does it have an obd2 port? The Lifan X-pect 200

If you have the manual it's on page 14 and 15. It flashes so you can decode it, first number of flashes should be 1 through 5 then a 1.5 second pause then second number 1 through 6. If there are more than one fault after it flashes out the first two digit code it then pauses for 6 seconds and flashes out the second code and so on.
There is a obd port but its not the standard obd2 port, it's the connector right about at the back of your fuel tank or front of your seat that is hanging there connected to nothing mine is red but I don't know if that is standard.
