Anyone get a lifan registered in Vermont?

I was looking to get a lifan lf200 from ebay and wanted to wait on it to see if anyone has had a problem with getting it registered in Vermont. I dont want to spend over a thousand dollars and figure out it will do me no good.

Hi Travis_86

You may want to read this ... http://chinariders.net/modules.php?n...iewtopic&t=845

Then make a decision if you want a bike drop-shipped or not and check with your State First. MDSauve13 has had nothing but trouble in Maryland. Read this post from him... http://chinariders.net/modules.php?n...ewtopic&t=1221
You may want to think twice about having a bike drop-shipped.

Forum: Registration Issues Posted: Fri Jan 05, 2007 5:55 am Subject: Another MSO issue
I'm up here in Vermont. Long way to go to kick someone's a$$ The situation IS very frustrating though. In Vermont we don't need to title bikes under 300cc's. I do still need a Bill of Sale ...

Moral of the story is check in the dealers forumn or post an inquiry about a dealer you may find. So you can get an idea what to expect.

Good Luck!!

1 more question though. I am scared to buy anything off from ebay, and I was thinking about getting my lifan from www.rabbitscooters.com does anyone have any good words about this company?

My experience with ebay.. has been, find out the dealers name contact them directly... you can usually get a better deal without ebay.... as far as rabbit scooters go? if they have an ebay rating over 100 and have had no negative feedback in the past 6 months you can give it a shot.... I never heard of them.. Whatever deal you make with them, make sure you can get a legitmate mso and a bill of sale from them..

Good Luck.. NET

I checked out rabbitscooters.com they seem kind of expensive.. visit a few more sights before you make your decision.... try xxx-motorsports.com since rabbits features mostly roketa... and you get a very legit mso and bill of sale from xxx... as well as digikool.net.. No need to rush, take your time and the right deal will fall into your lap.

Hey Travis_86
What LF200 are you talking about? The LF200(III), LF200GY-2 or LF200GY-5 ?? You may end up dealing with the same thing from any on-line so called dealer also. I suggest you do a BBB background check on them. check other forums since it looks like they deal mainly in scooters, just a suggestion.

I was looking at a lifan lf200(iii). There are no licensed dealers in Vermont for lifan, so I would have to get it off line. Since it would be such a problem finding a company online to trust knowing that they might send me a home made mso and go through a bunch of crap I think I will skip on this idea and save more money and get a used jap bike instead. Well i'm out peace.
