Workshop Manual!

Hi guys,

First post here and I'm in dire need for help.

Picked up a cheap Bike for a project. Jianshe Tiger js200 .

Bikes a mess, and definitely had a rough life by the looks of it. It has No compression so may need a top end rebuild, among lots of other little things but anyway to the issue...

I cannot find any service manuals ANYWHERE on the net . I called the Dealer here in Australia, and they pretty much said to me, cant get you any parts for your model as well as anyone else. They don't make these anymore and they are too old. manuals only come with new bikes and then just hung up on me. Pretty disgusting really and very rude from a customer service point of view.

I've looked everywhere and now I'm here. Hopefully someone has the service manual for this bike and knows contacts - anywhere worldwide that I can order parts from.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Welcome!

Humanbeing is the man when it comes to sourcing parts for these bikes, and he has shown you the two basic engine styles. Please tell us which version you have, show us a pic and we'll go from there.

BTW, use Google Chrome for the links that Humanbeing provided, and allow it to translate automatically.

These bike are based from some Japanese bike. Find-out who's the ancestor & use their service data.

Hi guys,

Finally got a bit of time and was able to take some pics to confirm engine type for you.

Thanks for the help so far. Only thing is ive been doing lots of research on the net and I cant find much info on the js200 and what japanese bike is based on. I assume a honda cb? But that's just a random guess.

Per Humanbeing's post above, your engine is based on the Honda CB200 single. Your engine has an overhead cam, and it is similar in many respects to the Honda XR200, but only in concept. The actual parts (like the cam, cam chain, crankshaft, etc) are dissimilar.

You have a very good engine.

I can also say that your frame is quite similar to the Honda XR200, except that you have inverted forks instead of conventional forks. Yours are my preference.

You can do a good deal of that yourself. Use Google Chrome, open www.taobao.com, allow it to translate automatically and search for CB200. Enjoy.
